The Nobel Tutoring Service is my brand of professional tutoring in mathematics, statistics, and résumé and cover letter writing. Nobel is certified by the National Tutoring Association. Nobel brings over 15 years of tutoring experience, a strong work ethic, patience, and diligence to every tutoring session. Nobel’s proven track record of higher course grades and increased understanding of math and stats has led to long-lasting friendships and continual recommendations from students, parents, and faculty.

    • Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT), Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT), Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE), Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools (TACHS), and High School Placement Test (HSPT)
  • Mock exams – SHSAT, SSAT, ISEE, TACHS, and HSPT


  • Mathematics and statistics topics generally taught from grades 9 through 12
  • Advanced Placement (AP) Statistics and some college-level statistics courses

[Professional Tutoring Hours for the 2019-2020 School Year]
effective as of June 30th, 2019

  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
  • Alternate Fridays (every other Friday): 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
    • Hours extended to 6:00 PM from March 20th, 2020 to June 26th, 2020.
  • Sundays and select holidays: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Blackout Dates: Professional Tutoring is unavailable on the following days:

  • Holidays
    • Independence Day
    • Labor Day
    • Thanksgiving
    • Christmas
    • New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day
    • Memorial Day (May 25th, 2020)
  • Other blackout dates (updates in bold)
    • May 15th, 2020
    • May 17th, 2020

[Professional Tutoring – Schedule of Rates and Surcharges]

Elementary-Level Professional Tutoring
per hour

Intermediate-Level Professional Tutoring
per hour

Advanced-Level Professional Tutoring
$80 per hour

Billing Surcharge
$0 for cash payments, 4.0% of the Tutoring Charge for noncash payments.

Travel Surcharge
$5 per session

Note: Nobel accepts cash and many forms of noncash payment, including debit, credit, and prepaid cards, tap-and-go methods such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, the Cash App, and PayPal.
